"We found La Chaumiere to be a lovely chalet, in a peaceful location with superb south facing views over the Rhone valley. The chalet is conveniently placed for quick and easy access to the local shops, bars, restaurants and the cable car. Anzere is an excellent base for summer alpine walking and having the cable car station just across the road means that fabulous high level walks are just minutes away. Footpaths to lower level walks through the beautiful vineyards can be reached from the village. As well as being a good base for exploring the Valais region (e.g. Lake Geneva, Rhone Valley, Zermatt, etc), there are enough activities locally if you don't want to travel far. "
